Biography
Cole鈥檚 research investigates how entrepreneurs identify opportunities, make decisions, and pursue innovation. He studies these processes in both new ventures and established firms, as well as in context-rich settings such as rural communities and family-owned enterprises. His work advances understanding of entrepreneurial cognition, opportunity evaluation, signaling, and the economic role of entrepreneurship in regional development. His research has been published in the Journal of Product Innovation Management, Organization Studies, International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior and Research, and IEEE Transactions on Professional Communication. He earned his Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship and M.B.A. from the University of Louisville. Cole teaches courses on entrepreneurship, creativity, and small business consulting.
