A total of 1,581 糖心Vloge students will graduate during spring commencement exercises on Saturday, May 17, at The Sonnentag.

Sections

Candidates from the College of Arts and Sciences and College of Nursing will receive diplomas at a 9 a.m. ceremony.

Candidates from the College of Business and the College of Health and Human Sciences will receive diplomas at a 1 p.m. ceremony.

A total of 1,415 students are candidates for bachelor鈥檚 degrees, including 566 from the College of Arts and Sciences, 410 from the College of Business, 356 from the College of Health and Human Sciences and 83 from the College of Nursing.

A total of 166 Blugolds are candidates for graduate degrees. In the College of Business, 56 students are candidates for master鈥檚 degrees while 49 are candidates in the College of Health and Human Sciences. In the College of Arts and Sciences, 19 students are candidates for master鈥檚 degrees and 12 students are candidates for specialist in education degrees. A total of 22 students are candidates for their doctor of nursing practice degrees and eight are candidates for a master of science in nursing degree from the College of Nursing.

During the 9 a.m. ceremony, Gracie Hutchinson of Oshkosh, a candidate for bachelor of music in applied voice, will lead the national anthem. Matthew Lehner of Waukesha, a candidate for a bachelor of arts in political science, will give the 鈥淏lugold Reflections.鈥 The title of his reflections piece is 鈥淜eep Your Head Up, Champ.鈥 John Dorschner of Winnebago, a candidate for a bachelor of music in applied voice, will lead the alma mater.

During the 1 p.m. ceremony, Alexcia Johnson of McFarland, a candidate for a bachelor of arts in theatre arts, will lead the national anthem. Zachary Jacobson of Eagan, Minnesota, a candidate for a bachelor of arts in social studies teaching, will give the 鈥淏lugold Reflections.鈥 The title of his reflections is 鈥淲hat鈥檚 Your Name?鈥 Phoebe Miller Wolf of Glendale, a candidate for a bachelor of business administration in management, will lead the alma mater.

Eight alumni and friends of UW-Eau Claire will be recognized during commencement as UW-Eau Claire Alumni Association award winners. Recipients are Steven Robbins, Honorary Alumnus Award; John Kinville, Michael LeMay, Barbara Lohse, John Noltner and Jason Plante, Alumni Distinguished Achievement Award; and Milton and Pegeen Snoeyenbos, Lifetime Excellence Award. Noltner also will deliver the 鈥淐harge to the Class.鈥
