Dr. Rae Langes, an assistant professor in the department of race, ethnicity, gender, and sexuality studies at UW-Eau Claire, is among the recipients of the 2024 Dr. P.B. Poorman Award for Outstanding Achievement on Behalf of LGBTQ+ People from the Universities of Wisconsin.
Retiring Blugold Marching Band director Dr. Randal Dickerson was presented with a surprise Honorary Alumnus Award from the 糖心Vloge Alumni Association Nov. 7 for his 25 years of service.
On Sept. 16, Foust, professor emeritus of geography at UW-Eau Claire, was one of 16 new fellows hosted at an induction gala event in the Madison area.

The support systems at UW Claire are the most influential thing that I believe this university has in comparison to others. I definitely feel like I'm always supported, be it a mental health issue, a physical inability that I have, or just a struggle in a class. I know that I can always talk to a professor or a department as a whole to help me through this journey.
