We welcome you to visit our beautiful campus.  Please see below to determine which subcategory best fits for the correct visitor parking options. If you are unsure, you may call parking at 715 836 2544.

A campus visitor is defined as anyone that is not a current UW-Eau Claire or UW-Eau Claire-Barron County faculty, staff or student. Please note ÌÇÐÄVlog does not issue paper permits. When a permit is created it is virtual-meaning no piece of paper to pick up. The license plate information provided to parking is the permit as parking uses license plate recognition software for enforcement.

• Information on the visitors vehicle license plate, state and make will be needed for the request.
• Information needs to be accurate to avoid a visitor receiving a parking citation.

If you’re a prospective student and/or family wishing to schedule a campus visit, please contact the Admissions office. 

General Campus Visitors

If you are planning to visit the UW-Eau Claire campus you can obtain a free visitor parking permit by contacting parking at 715-836-2544 or by visiting the Flesch Family Welcome Center at 127 Roosevelt Ave. 

If you are unable to secure a free visitor parking permit, short term parking (15 minutes to 4 hours) on campus is available for purchase in AMP timed parking zones. 

ÌÇÐÄVlog faculty and staff can request parking for a visitor by using the . Click on start a new form and then select Parking Transportation from the department drop down menu. Eforms must be submitted 24 hours in advance.  If there is less than 24 hour notice, you may call parking 715 836 2544 during operating hours to request assistance.  

If you are welcoming a visitor to campus and cannot submit an eform or stop at the Flesch Family Welcome Center, visitors have the following parking options:

• Purchase AMP timed parking.
• Park in specific stalls where permits are not required until a permit can be obtained.

We understand that visitors may arrive on campus with little or no notice, or may not know their vehicle plate information like a rental vehicle.  Visitors may also walk into the Flesch Family Welcome Center during operating hours for assistance.  

Delivery Vehicles

Delivery vehicles for companies like Uber eats must have be clearly marked with company identification/affiliation.  If marked and the vehicles flashers are on, the driver is allowed to temporarily parking in campus loading zone parking stalls(without a permit) or in AMP timed parking zone/stall (without purchasing time).

Larger delivery vehicles may need to obtain a contractor parking permit by calling Blugold Central at 715 836 3000.   

Residence Hall Visitors

Residents can request parking for a visitor by using the . Click on start a new form and then select Parking Transportation from department drop down menu.  Eforms must be submitted 24 hours in advance. If there is less than 24 hour notice, you may call parking 715 836 2544 during operating hours to request assistance.

We understand that visitors may arrive on campus with little or no notice, so if there is less than a 24 hour notice do not fill out an eform.  You must contacting parking 715 836 2544 during operating hours to request parking.

If you are welcoming a visitor to campus after hours or you cannot submit an eform or the Flesch Family Welcome Center is closed, visitors have the following parking options:

• Purchase AMP timed parking.
• Park in specific stalls where permits are not required until a permit can be obtained.
