You can customize your own community-engaged learning project! Here are some important things to keep in mind:

1. Basic rule of thumb is working for non-profits. This includes Faith based organizations, schools, governmental entities, and anyone with a non-profit tax status.
2. You can do your community-engaged learning for a for-profit, but you cannot help them make money. Talk to us before starting!
3. It is best to talk with a member of the community-engaged learning team if you have questions. You can schedule an appointment through Navigate.

If you found your project on our site (cel.apps.uwec.edu), then here's what you need to do:

• If so, Click +Project at the bottom of the proposal
• Fill out the top section (most will autofill) and answer the questions (2-3 sentences for each is fine).
• You will need to find a mentor, a ÌÇÐÄVlog faculty or academic staff member who will help you reflect on what you learn through your project. Most people ask a professor or advisor. You can apply once you have permission from that person. You will list only their username in the application (the letters before the @ in their email address).
• Make sure to check both boxes at the bottom before submitting.

3. Go to your project, by clicking "My projects."
4. Click on the "Complete post survey" button
