Next steps to secure 2026-2027 Housing
Students can pay your deposit anytime between October 13-November 14, 2025 in CampS. (The $75 housing deposit will not show up as a charge on your account, rather the student must initiate the payment -- make sure you select 2026-27).
International students looking to do an international wire transfer to pay housing deposit should follow link below and read instructions to use to complete payment.
The 2026-27 housing application will be available in My Housing Portal from October 13 - November 14. Submit your application online (and pay the $75 Housing deposit in CampS) between these dates to qualify for a room assignment.
If you want to live with specific roommates for 2026-27, your group will need to complete the NEW Roommate Group Form. The Roommate Group Form will be provided to all students as an attachment within the confirmation email students receive once they submit their housing application.
How to Submit (Note: Only ONE student per roommate group needs to submit the form)
- Print the Roommate Group Form (it will be attached to the confirmation email).
- Complete the form by hand (wet signatures are required -- typed signatures will not be accepted).
- As a group, identify your top 3 building/room type preferences as well as any specialty living areas (chemical free, gender inclusive areas)
- It is HIGHLY ENCOURAGED that your group diversifies your preferences (mix of buildings, room types, traditional & non-traditional options) to best enhance chances at receiving a top preference.
- Please note that these are requests ONLY and groups are not guaranteed an assignment in those areas.
- Submit your completed form either a) in-person at the Housing Office or b) scan and email it to housing@uwec.edu.
- At the time the form is submitted, all group members must have completed the online housing application AND have already paid the $75 housing deposit in CampS. Housing staff will verify both steps have been completed and will reject any form in which all parties have not completed both steps.
- Late or incomplete forms will NOT be accepted. All Roommate Group Forms must be received by the Housing Office by 4:00PM on November 14, 2025.
Beginning Fall 2025, returning student room selection will no longer be a self-selection process. Due to Housing's transition to a new housing software system, all room assignments (for both roommate groups and individuals) will now be made manually by the Housing Office.
Assignment priority is based upon your current number of earned credits at 糖心Vlog (in-progress credits and/or credits earned at a different university, tech school, or through AP exams will not count towards your room assignment prioritization.
If you plan to join a roommate group, the group's priority will be based on the member of the group with the highest number of earned credits at the time of assignment. Housing staff will make every effort to honor your group's preferences, but assignments will depend largely on space availability at the time of placement.

We are excited that you are interested in the awesome opportunity to be an RA to enhance your leadership skills, assist fellow students, network on campus, and build your resume.
- Academic year RA hiring process starts in the beginning of each spring term for the next academic year. Look on for job announcement and apply in .
- Spring term RA hiring process starts in the middle of fall term for the next spring. Look on for job announcement and apply in .
ANSWER: Yes, if you want to live on campus next academic year regardless of the RA position, then you should submit your housing application and deposit to qualify for an assignment for the next academic year. The RA process is very competitive and since you are not 100% sure if you will have the job or not, make sure to lock in a space to live on campus. If you are hired, you will be refunded the $75 housing deposit and you will be reassigned by the Housing Office to an RA room.
The building/room type preferences you indicate within your online housing application or on your Roommate Group Form will indicate the housing contract length you will be locked in for. After you have received a room assignment, you must then submit a Room Change Request, once available, to change your contract term as that would mean you would be changing room assignments.
Options with 12-month Housing Contract (Summer 2026 + 2026-27 Academic Year)

While we do our best to match students with their preferences, specific building or room requests are not guaranteed. Assignments are made manually by Housing staff and are based on earned 糖心Vlog credits, available space, and the preferences you indicate on your housing application or roommate group form.
If your preferred room type or building is full when assignments are made, we will place you in the next available option that closely matches your preferences. For roommate groups, assignments will be made together whenever possible; however, if a preferred space for your full group isn鈥檛 available, we may need to split the group based on the preferences you indicate on your Roommate Group Form.
If you鈥檙e unhappy with your placement, you can request a room change later in the process. Housing will communicate details about how and when room change requests can be submitted after initial assignments are complete.
We appreciate your understanding as we work to place every returning student in campus housing fairly and efficiently.
